Since the launch of Google Maps in 2011, Google has introduced a wide variety of new features, including the Google Earth API, which allows users access to geocoded locations of the U.S. and other countries and geographic information for a wide range of places.
With the new update, Google is also expanding its partnership with FireMap to include the map service of FireMap Global, a global mapping company.
FireMap provides a unique mapping platform for the Fire Atlas and FireMap Map Platform.
Firemap Global is responsible for geocoding FireMap locations in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, as of July 2016.
While Google Maps has a wide selection of maps, it’s important to remember that the company does not provide free maps to everyone.
