Google Maps has released a new map for California.
The new map shows every county and town in the state, including areas where wildfires have broken out, as well as where authorities have declared a state of emergency.
The map is based on a new Google Earth 3D viewer that has a zoomable view that includes the county level, including towns and cities.
Cal Fire, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Caltrans have provided a few details about the new map: Cal Fire and Cal Trans have also provided some data points on the wildfires that have brokenout in the counties, which are now officially under the jurisdiction of Cal Fire.
The fire danger map has the counties’ fire danger ratings as well, and Cal Fire has provided a map of the most likely fire hazards along with their fire activity.
