In the past, the US government has issued a travel warning to travelers in Poland, a country that has recently seen a surge in terror attacks.
“The risk of terrorism is high,” it said in December.
“We strongly urge you to take extra precautions and avoid traveling to Poland.”
Poland is also one of the most heavily guarded countries in Europe, with a high degree of security for its borders, according to the European Union.
The country has strict laws on firearms, and its government has been the target of several attacks by radical Islamists.
A travel warning from the Polish Embassy in Washington DC in September warned of “an increased risk of terrorist attacks” in Poland.
It also highlighted the “growing threat” posed by the Islamic State group, which the Polish government has largely denied involvement in.
