Today, in an update for Fortnites players, developer NetherRealm Studios released a new map.
The map, known as The Strain, is the first of its kind in the new IP.
This is a huge leap forward for the game, which currently features five maps and five multiplayer modes.
The Strix, which was released earlier this month, was originally meant to be the first map to launch, but was delayed due to the launch of the game’s online component.
“This is our way of saying thanks to all the fans who supported the game,” NetherRealms tweeted today.
“We know it’s been a challenging road, but we’re going to try and make it work in a way that makes sense for all the people who have supported us.”
The Strine will be available to download for free as a free update for players who already own Fortnits and is available for purchase on the Steam platform.
The update is also coming to the game in its first standalone mode, a Survival mode that is only available in Fortnit’s online mode.
This mode has players working together to defeat waves of enemies, as well as a boss fight.
The Survival mode is also available for free for FortNites players who purchase the base game.
This update is a major step forward for FortNs’ multiplayer mode.
It’s currently the most popular map in FortNits history.
“It was the best we could do in terms of performance,” Netherrealms said in a blog post today.
NetherRealme Studios, the studio behind Fortnited and its online component, released the Strain update on Monday.
The first expansion, The Stryder, is also currently available for download for $1.99.
