Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy said Thursday he’s still looking forward to the opportunity to play with the Dolphins, who won the AFC South last season.
“We’ll see how it goes.
We’ll see what happens with the playoffs,” McCoy said at his weekly news conference.
“But we’ll see if they want to do something with me.
They could come in and say, ‘Hey, we’d like to have you on the team.’
It’s a long ways off, but we’ll just see.”
McCoy and Dolphins coach Adam Gase had a brief relationship when they were both in the NFL, working in Houston and Miami.
The Browns had to get McCoy out of the way when he returned from a torn ACL in March.
McCoy said the Dolphins are in good hands with Dolphins defensive coordinator Vance Joseph.
Joe and his staff have been working with the Browns’ defense, and the Dolphins defense is one of the league’s most consistent.
