An interactive mapping tool has been created by a team from the University of Hawaii that aims to make it easier to see the geography of India and Southeast Asia.
The project, titled Map of India, was created by researchers at the University’s Institute for Pacific and Indian Ocean Studies, led by Kaitlyn Dauber.
It aims to give people in India, the Philippines, and Indonesia a better understanding of their geography.
Dauberg said the project was meant to help them better understand where they live, what they eat, and where they work.
Dauber said her team used data from Google Maps to create a map that was similar to Google Maps, except it was interactive.
She said they hope it will encourage people to become more aware of their local geography.
“We’re interested in making it as accessible as possible, because that’s a really important thing for people,” Dauberger said.
The map includes data about the landmass, sea level, coastline, and even islands in the Indian and Southeast Asian oceans.
“It’s really an interactive way of visualizing and visualizing the geography,” she said.
Drucilla Taggart, a professor of geography and anthropology at the UH, said it was the first time a mapping tool had been created to allow people in the Asia-Pacific region to visualize their geography using a map.
“This is an effort to do something that people have always thought was really important and wanted to do,” she told ABC News.
“And I think it’s also really powerful to make maps that are not only informative, but also educational and useful and that people can take with them and make sense of their life,” she added.
Taggart said the idea to create such a map came to her during a conference she was hosting.
“One of the presentations was about the mapping of the Pacific Rim, and I asked if I could come talk about that, and it was really exciting because I really wanted to explore how that mapped,” she recalled.

There are also a handful in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
The map that Daubers team created is called the “Pacific Islands Project.”
Dauger said her goal is to create interactive maps for people in all the islands in each region.
“I think it would be really useful to see how people interact with their geography, and the maps that they create,” she explained.
Dausber said she hopes the map will help other people, particularly students, make sense in their daily lives.
“The maps that I have been creating, and that I’m using in the project, are interactive maps.
They are not static maps that we’ve put in front of you,” she emphasized.
“They are interactive.”
Daubers research is part of a broader effort to make information more accessible and more accessible to people in Southeast Asia, according the Pacific Islands Project website.
Dukan Teng, a lecturer in geography at UH and an adjunct professor at the American University of Singapore, said she thought the project would be of great help to Southeast Asia’s students.
“Indonesia has a history of creating interactive maps, but this is a new one, and we hope that it can help Southeast Asian students understand their geography and the way they live their lives,” she noted.
Teng added that she is also excited about the new map being shared with other researchers and students.
“I think that this map is really exciting, and hopefully it will be useful to a lot of people,” she stated.
