A map of the world that was released by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) last week is a “blink” to the coronaviruses that were responsible for the pandemic, experts have said.
A map of coronaviral infections in the US showed a sharp decline from January through August, the CDC said, but the overall picture is one of the highest recorded for the virus.
The data was released on Tuesday in response to a public health question posed on Twitter by US President Donald Trump.
“It’s a shame that the map of pandemic COVID is no longer a real blink,” said Dr. Andrew Kolodny, director of the National Center for Health Statistics.
Kolodny added: “We have the highest number of coronapies in the world.”
The map showed a decline of 8,000 cases and 17,000 deaths, according to the CDC, with a decline in deaths that was almost twice that of the previous month.
“It doesn’t mean we are not taking our fight to the streets and doing everything we can to prevent further spread,” Dr. Thomas Frieden, director in charge of the US National Institutes of Health, told reporters on Wednesday.
It also showed that coronavids in the United States were increasing at the same time as the overall number of infections and deaths, with the number of cases increasing by 12% and the death rate rising by 13% over the same period.
“If we look at this in terms of trends, we are up,” Frieden added.
The CDC has said the data “underscores the need for robust surveillance, robust testing and robust clinical care, which is exactly what we have done.”
But it also warned that the picture was a “historical snapshot” of a situation that has changed dramatically since the beginning of the pandemics.
“We are not in a position to say how long the pandemaker may have lasted,” Friedens said.
“We are just not there yet.”
The data from the US is based on a survey of the population between January and August.
However, some of the numbers could be revised.
For instance, the survey of January through September could be adjusted to include more deaths, or a more detailed breakdown of coronococcosis.
Another reason is that the survey does not include all the data from coronaviremia outbreaks, which have increased sharply since the pandeems started, Dr. Peter Hotez, a researcher at the University of California, San Francisco, told CNN.
According to the survey, coronavaccine cases in the country were down by 10% over August, but deaths have increased by 13%.
A total of 6,000 people in the city of San Francisco died from coronacoccosis in the first two weeks of the new year.
But the data does not necessarily mean that the epidemic has been over.
There are currently more than 10,000 suspected cases of coronacocca in the county.
CDC data shows that the number in San Francisco is actually up from the month before.
That could be because people in San Franciscans are having more of a chance of getting vaccinated, according the CDC.
